WOW, what a fantastic weekend at the beloved Columbia County Fair & Rodeo. Over 18K people were in attendance; what a turn-out!
A gigantic THANK YOU to Hannah & Abby Russel, the NPRA, Fair board: Julie Pelletier, Derek Stekhuizen, Laken Gortler, Greg Voreis, MaryAnn Guess & Darrin Rye and 4-H. Another shot out to all the vendors that worked so hard to create an excellent experience for our community. Last but not least is Hunter Ogle for showing that proud UA welding craftsmanship on our barrels. You are valued and appreciated.
I love being at these events and being accessible to all the citizens of Columbia County. Transparency, communication, and collaboration are core values of mine. When elected, I will bring these same principles with me into the office of Sheriff.
Thank you to everyone that waited patiently to speak to me at my booth. Please be patient with those requesting meetings or for me to talk to your groups/organizations. I am running about two weeks out. I promise I will make time to speak to you. Your questions and what you have to say are crucial to me.
The support and encouragement for those thirsty for change motivate me to work even harder. Thank you for your candidness and for sharing your personal experiences and suggestions for positive change.
Note: to be precise, ANYONE could have been the NPRA Main sponsor if they had thought about it and identified it as an opportunity to support the community and get their name out there. Again, this is just the type of creativity I bring, outside-of-the-box thinking to the table. Strategic planning is an attribute of a leader.
