What a fantastic event...Citizens Day in the Park that was hosted by the City of St. Helens in McCormick Park.
Thank you to the Massey 4 Sheriff Campaign crew for your support; it's sincerely appreciated. Our team seems to be growing daily. I appreciate everyone that cleaned up the park after the event. We should always leave things better than we found them. We were more than happy to volunteer A shout-out to Patrick Cleary for his excellent drone work!
Another round of kudos goes to all volunteers; St. Helens Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.), American Heritage Girls Troop OR 3130, Trail Life Troop OR 0610, Girl Scouts Troop 10486, and Hometown Heroes. And a special thank you to Christina Sullivan; you put on a fantastic event!
Citizens, music, family, old friends, new friends, sun, ice pops, face painting, games, smiles, laughter, great vendors, and a fun balloon fight at the end were a great way to spend a Saturday!
Yesterday was a special day as individuals made their way down to the Massey 4 Sheriff booth; there were so many open and candid conversations about why I am running, the current concerns in our county, and the need for proactive policing. Citizens of Columbia County are knowledgeable folks; it is becoming more apparent that they, too, see the need for change. I am genuinely humbled that after discussions, it ended with, "you have my vote." The community and the positivity coming from you, my fellow citizens, motivate me even more to succeed.
